The Cocige and Copisa Joint Venture builds the bridge for vehicles over the Charges River in Gamboa. This construction arises from the need of the Canal Authority to offer more security to collaborators and inhabitants of the area.

The construction of the bridge was signed for $8,890,424.91 and currently has the bases installed, approximately 278 meters long, two traffic lanes in each direction of 3.65 meters each, and a pedestrian walkway measuring one meter wide.
