18 Feb Awarding of the Contract to Construct a Civic Centre in Roa, Burgos. Spain

Copisa is to build a civic centre in the town of Roa, which will serve as a visitors’ reception centre and will feature a control room, multi-purpose hall, audiovisual room, cafeteria and rooftop terrace. Aesthetically, the building will combine traditional construction with the latest building techniques while remaining in keeping with its surroundings, which include the remains of Roa’s fortified walls. The facades will be of granite-like stone and concrete plates, while the exterior framing will be aluminium, with the structure of reinforced concrete with gantries, slabs and frameworks. The project has a budget of over 2 million euros.
