Restoration of the walled enclosure of Alcudia in Mallorca, the project includes cleaning the sediment deposited around the walls in order to delimit the structure and control the foundations. It is planned to excavate those sections where the wall was supposed to cross, but where there are no visible remnants left, and thus expose the now hidden feet of the wall, or the feet of the foundations.
In order to protect the wall from vehicles and people passing, a strip will be excavated around it, to recover the valley that was part of the defensive structure. This excavation will be used to give more height to the wall and therefore more showiness to the rests.
Two types of treatment are proposed for the valley area: Areas where the valley will be left with the slope, and where it will be possible to maintain part of the existing plants. And other areas where the valley area is left uncovered, in order to preserve the original appearance of the defensive set.
