Copisa is awarded the civil engineering project to execute oil and gas wells in Romania

Copisa has signed a four-year framework contract (from February 2017 to February 2021) with the Romanian oil company OMV Petrom to build and expand several refinery production fields in the country for a cumulative potential value of 170 million euros (766 million Leu).
The contract covers construction of the roads and drilling fields, surface equipment and any building materials, equipment and other materials needed to execute and rehabilitate the wells. The OMV Petrom production areas where the drilling wells will be built are located in the regions of Banat, Moldavia, Oltenia, Muntenia and Moesia. These installations join those that Copisa has already built in Portugal, both of them in the petrochemical sector.
With a 70% share, Copisa and its Romanian subsidiary COPISA Construtii SRL lead one of the consortiums that was awarded these framework contracts. In this way, the Catalan company has gained a client that is a European giant in oil, natural gas and combined-cycle electrical energy product, a leader in its sector in Central and Eastern Europe, namely OMV Petrom.
